Who we are

Badger is an invoice follow-up service for Australian small businesses, operated by Mark Zucchi (ABN 79 406 248 681). Questions about anything on this page: contact@badgerit.app.

What we collect, and why

If you join the early-access list

Just your email address. It's stored with MailerLite, the service we use to manage our mailing list, and used only to send you early-access invitations and occasional updates. Every email includes an unsubscribe link — one click and you're off the list.

If you have a Badger account

Your name, email address, business name, and login credentials (passwords are stored hashed, never in plain text). We use these to run your account and to contact you about the service.

Business data you bring into Badger

To do its job, Badger holds the accounts-receivable data you import or connect: your customers' names and contact details, invoice numbers, amounts, due dates, and payment status. This data is used for exactly one purpose — sending the payment reminders you configure and approve, and showing you where things stand. We never use it for anything else, never sell it, and never share it except with the delivery providers below.

If you connect Xero

The connection is read-only and limited to payment information (which invoices have been paid), so Badger can stop chasing anyone who has paid. We store the connection tokens encrypted; we never see or store your Xero password, and you can disconnect at any time from Settings → Integrations, which removes the connection immediately.

Your customers' details

If your business uses Badger, your customers' contact details pass through it so reminders can be sent on your behalf. Those details stay under your control: they're used only for the follow-ups you set up, and replies from your customers are delivered back to you. We don't market to your customers, ever.

Where it lives

Badger runs on Render (a cloud hosting provider); your data is stored in our hosted database there, with sensitive credentials encrypted at rest. Emails and text messages are delivered through specialist delivery providers, who receive only what's needed to deliver each message.

What we don't do

No selling data. No sharing with advertisers. No tracking cookies on this website.

Access, correction, and deletion

You can export your data from within Badger. To have your account and its data corrected or deleted, email contact@badgerit.app and we'll sort it out promptly. If you're a customer of a business that uses Badger and want your details corrected or removed, contact that business — or email us and we'll pass it on.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, account holders will be told by email before the change takes effect.
