Terms of service
Last updated 16 July 2026. Badger is in early access; these terms are written in plain English and will grow up alongside the product.
The deal
Badger, operated by Mark Zucchi (ABN 79 406 248 681), helps your business follow up unpaid invoices: it sends the payment reminders you configure, tracks replies and payments, and shows you where your receivables stand. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms.
Your side of it
You agree to use Badger only to follow up amounts genuinely owed to your business, and to comply with the laws that apply to you — including Australian Consumer Law and the debt-collection conduct guidelines. You control the wording, timing, and escalation of every reminder; because they're sent on your behalf and in your name, you're responsible for what they say and who they go to. Keep your login credentials safe: activity under your account is yours.
Your data
Your business data stays yours. You give us permission to store and process it only as needed to provide the service, as described in our privacy policy. You can export your data, and you can ask us to delete your account and its data at any time.
Connected services
If you connect an accounting system such as Xero, you authorise Badger to read the data that connection provides (for Xero: read-only payment information) and you can disconnect at any time. Those services have their own terms, which are between you and them.
Early access, honestly
Badger is under active development. During early access the service is provided as-is: features may change, and occasional interruptions or bugs are possible. We work hard to keep it reliable — reminders that shouldn't go out don't go out — but you should keep your own records of what you're owed. Nothing in these terms excludes guarantees that Australian Consumer Law says can't be excluded; beyond what the law requires, our liability is limited to the amount you've paid us for the service in the 12 months before the claim (or $100 if you haven't paid anything).
Money
Early-access pricing is agreed with you directly before anything is charged. We'll never start charging an account without telling you first.
Ending it
You can stop using Badger and ask for your account to be closed at any time. We can suspend or close accounts that break these terms or use the service to harass, mislead, or chase money that isn't owed — that's not what Badger is for.
Changes and the fine print
If these terms change in a way that matters, account holders will be told by email before the change takes effect. These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Questions: contact@badgerit.app.
